Hurricane Maria – located near Martinique, moving very slow (9 knots) in west-northwest direction with winds between 100-130 knots. Maria is forecast to intensify further more over next 48 hours!
#Hurricane #Caribbean #Catastrophe The #earthquake in #Mexico have been registered at certain seismic stations in Europe just 1 hour later!
The unusual earthquake hit Mexico with 8.2 magnitude just before midnight local time on September 7.
It was the strongest since 85 years. This earthquake killed more than 90 people and destroyed homes of 2.3 million people, mostly in the states of Chiapas and Oaxaca.
Although the epicenter was just outside the gap, more than 1000 aftershocks have been recorded, many in the gap itself.
#Eartquake #Mexico #Catastrophe #Hurricane #Irma, a superstorm hits the Caribbean! And hurricane #José will follow close behind. Because this catastrophe was foreseeable days ahead, #relief #organization and support teams have been able to prepare emergency aid. And therefore, we hope aid will arrive on site as fast as possible and coordinated.Moonlight Air Organization will setup an operation for exactly such situations – but with one difference:
90% of all catastrophes are not foreseeable and help and support teams are not able to prepare proper aid in advance and transport them instantly.
Moonlight Air Organization is preparing for the unexpected. To provide aid immediately – all over the world – in 100% of all cases.
Our thoughts are with all people in this affected region and with all the support teams standing by to provide help.
We recommend to stay up to date with the National Hurricane Center on Twitter and it’s breaking news.
