Pioneers change the world and aviation have it done so many times.
If humans would just believe possible things, we would not have the ability to cross oceans, to fly, to overcome gravity, leave our Earth and land on the moon or to browse the almost entire human knowledge within just a few seconds.
What if we could combine all the power and effort of various organizations and governments. We could boost NGO’s causes and governmental efforts at the same time significantly – as resources can be reinvested into more aid material or in local projects. The potential is huge and the sky is the limit – together we could make a big difference for people in need. It would be an illusion to say, we can save every life – but we can save many! Organizations all over the world are doing a lot to improve people’s lives, but unfortunately, the number of sick peoples continues to rise. Hence, we are not fast enough and we don’t generate enough impact. Imagine we could fly medical teams and large amounts of medicine more regularly within hours to any place worldwide – instead of weeks and months as it is the case today. *** Fact ***Vision: 253 million people are blind or have moderate to severe distance vision. 1.1 billion have near-vision impairment simply because they don’t have a pair of glasses. 75% of all blindness is avoidable. 89% of people with visual impairment live in developing countries.Childhood Cancer: Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. 13% increase in incidence of childhood cancer over the last 20 years. 6 years average age at diagnosis of children with cancer. Diabetes is a global epidemic, affecting an increasing number of men, women, and children all over the world. Diabetes can lead to serious diseases affecting the heart and blood vessels, eyes / blindness, kidneys, nerves, teeth and lower limb amputation. Our solution to fight against Diabetes and many other diseases is to transport a mobile hospital together with medical professionals and large amounts of medicine point-to-point worldwide.
On many places humans cannot treated
well, because of missing equipment, missing hygienic conditions or because medical professionals do not have the knowledge. The combination of our medical mission concept contains also further training and education of local medical professionals.
As you can see, we do not only do surgeries and transport medicine, it is way more than that.
A solution to eliminate hunger is to establish fast and efficient point-to-point transportation including the delivery of larger amounts of basic food items more regularly. We also have to support local agriculture, farming, and access to clean water. Disease is often consequence from what we eat and drink. If people drink dirty water, they get sick. If people don’t have enough to eat, no vitamins and other essentials elements of one’s daily nutrition, they get sick.
Let’s create a basis for independent living by combining all our know-how, synergies and effort to improve today’s situation.
*** Fact ***820 million people affected by hunger in 2018.155 million children under age five are stunted due to chronic malnutrition.
1/3 of annual food production is lost or wasted throughout the supply chain.
The trip is about 4’100 miles long and 8.5 to 9h of flight time from Switzerland direct to Nampula – for a Boeing 777 or 747 absolutely no big deal to fly.
100 tons of coordinated emergency aid in just 12 hours – delivered over night..!
Shelters, tents, medicine, hygiene sets, basic foodstuffs, drinking water and water filters, power generators, etc. After dropping off the cargo and refueling our aircraft we are on our way to the nearest emergency warehouse, where we could pick up and deliver another 100 tons of aid material.
200 tons of aid material in about 30 hours — compared to 15 tons in 5 days, what is the average case today.
While we take care about fast long haul transportation, organizations like the UN or ICRC can focus on local distribution – the very important last mile.
Mozambique has been hit by two cyclones within 6 weeks. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has reported heavy damage to Cabo Delgado province. Cyclone Kenneth has „entirely wiped out“ some villages in Mozambique, after making landfall on Thursday. One aid worker said it looked like areas had been „run over by a bulldozer“. About 3,500 homes in parts of Cabo Delgado were partially or fully destroyed by the cyclone, with electricity cut, some roads blocked and at least one key bridge collapsed. Cyclone Idai killed more than 900 people already. Nearly 700,000 people could be at risk in the largely rural region, many left exposed and hungry as waters rise.
This is not an illusion – this is something we can achieve together! At Moonlight Air Organization, we:
1: transport emergency aid after natural catastrophes within 24 hours – worldwide
.2: provide medical professionals with a fully independent mobile hospital.
3: support governments and organization for sustainable development aid.
Aid when and where it is needed
To improve today’s situation, Moonlight Air Organization can reach any region in the world with more aid, faster delivery and more regular and efficient service. While we take care about fast long haul transportation, organizations and governments can focus on local distribution – the very important last mile.
Dedication brings results
Not only do we save more lives faster, we also bring perspectives and a future. With the most innovative idea of a dedicated humanitarian aid airline we are able to multiply the effect of aid by creating a real value for people in need. Moonlight Air Organization will improve the quality of life of millions of people worldwide every year.
Impact for a better world
By offering up to two weekly flights with 100 tons capacity each we can stimulate local economies, generate win-win, B2B and B2C situations. Furthermore, our partners save a significant amount of transportation cost every year so they can re-invest their money into more aid material so they can help more people. Combining know-how, network and synergies to close todays existing gaps.We use the right equipment that fits the needs to fly the missions. We are prepared and standby 24/7 – with lean and direct structures for a maximum of operational flexibility. We create value for organizations and people in need at the same time. We deliver aid more efficiently with a better cost-/benefit ratio.
Now we are ready to start the engines…!
5 Days – that’s the average response time in an emergency situation..!
Organizations have to collect emergency aid, search for available transportation solutions, and also organizing the delivery of the goods in the affected area. This takes time – too much time in such a situation.
1.5 million Puerto Ricans know what that means:no drinking water nor hot water, no heating, no roof over your head, no food…no electricity… no gasoline from gas station or money from cash machine…and now you have to wait for emergency aid while you have to survive.10 days no aid… and left for weeks without drinking water, medicine and electricity…
Airport San Juan and Rafael Hernández were open within 24 hours after hurricane Maria hit the island (landing was possible under visual flight conditions). Alternate airports were Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) – and the emergency aid could have been transported by boat and/or helicopter.
